Revitalisation of the history of the former Anna Maria Paediatric Hospital in Łódź

On behalf of the Anna Maria Paediatric Hospital in Łódź, SKB carried out works involving the revitalisation of the historic complex of the former Anna Maria Paediatric Hospital in Łódź (at Piłsudskiego 71). The work included major reconstruction. The buildings were fitted with new installations in addition to upgrading of the walls, ceilings and plaster. We also reconstructed the local power grid and provided an efficient alternative source of energy in case of any failure at the J. Korczak Paediatric Centre. The roofs were replaced and the original doors and windows were renovated. We also built two connectors between buildings 12 to 18 and 18 to 19.

The works were carried out on historic buildings from the beginning of the 20th century, which were made of red brick and were characteristic of neo-Gothic buildings. The effects of work at the J. Korczak Paediatric Centre were positively evaluated by the Voivodeship’s conservator of monuments in Łódź.
