HISTORIC OBJECTS
The SKB Group specialises in the renovation and conservation of historic buildings. Over the years, we have restored dozens of buildings to their former glory and have also specialised in the use of modern maintenance methods. The effects of our work have been repeatedly very positively assessed by conservators of monuments.
MODERNISATION WORKS UNDER CONSERVATION SUPERVISION
The reconstruction and modernisation of historic buildings is a particular challenge for the contractor as the work has to be carried out under the supervision of the conservation officer. The reconstruction of such facilities is usually aimed at improving functionality and safety of use.
ADAPTATION OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS TO CONTEMPORARY TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Among the investments that we had the pleasure to implement was the reconstruction of the railway stations in Poznań and Jarosław.
The work on modernising historic buildings consisted primarily of improving the existing architectural solutions so that the buildings meet modern technical requirements.
We know how to combine modern requirements with conservation guidelines. We find a balance between adapting buildings to the needs of the disabled and the use of modern materials as well as recalling the former splendour of historic buildings. The use of proven solutions allows us to renovate historic buildings reliably and successfully.
